About Us

Dan Church Racing started in 1996 when Danny Church Jr. became the youngest racer ever to get behind the wheel of a Dirt IMCA/UMP Type Modified at the now defunct Hales Corners Speedway.  The team has had partners thruought the years, has switched back and forth between dirt and asphalt racing, has taken several years off here and there since the inception, but has remained a fixture in the regional racing scene in one way or another since it's beginnings.  The latest chapter of Dan Church Racing finds the team fielding a multi-car operation for different drivers with what is probably the most aggressive asphalt short track racing schedule in the country.

In 2007 Ryan started his driving career in the Street Stock class at Slinger Speedway quickly finding Victory Lane and revisiting it several times over a 4 year period before coming on board with Dan Church Racing towards the end of 2010 to run the faster, more powerful Mid-American style race car in which he won the first night out with. In 2011 he bested the field at Slinger Speedway with 8 Fast Time Qualifying efforts followed with 2 Dash Wins, 2 Feature Wins and a 2nd place Finish in the Championship Points. In 2012 he started out the season with a splash by setting Fast Time and Winning the Feature at Rockford Speedway in the Mid-American Series first event of the year.  That win helped propell him to a 3rd place finish on the Series and the "Rookie of the Year" title.  He also followed up his sucessful season at Slinger by finishing 2nd in the point standings there for the 2nd year in a row.  In 2013 Ryan tested his luck in Late Models at Slinger Speedway and picked up some Heat Race Wins and a Feature Win before moving up to the Super Late Models in 2014.  With some success towards the end of the season in 2014, Ryan is looking forward to visiting Victory Lane again very soon.
